Set in typical Dorset countryside, these comfortable well equipped cottages are available for weekly lets, 3 and 4 night breaks, overnight stays or at certain times of the year for longer lets. There are also limited bed and breakfast rooms which are independent of the house and cottages. Set in 10 acres and grouped around a grassed courtyard they were converted from the original barns and stables, once part of the working farm. They are close to the owners beautiful, Victorian (1872) farmhouse.

The historic Saxon hilltop town of Shaftesbury is about 3 miles away and has an abundance of eating establishments, shops, supermarket and the famous “Gold Hill” used as a location in many period films and the well known “Hovis advert” Half an hour away is Salisbury with it’s magnificent cathedral and more extensive shops.

There are many local attractions and historic sites within an hour or less. These include, Stonehenge, Avebury, Cheddar, Bath and the Jurassic coast with its abundance of natural rock formations and fossils as well as the Seven Sisters and Isle of Purbeck. For those who want to relax then Weymouth’s sandy beach is ideal for fishing, sailing, swimming or sunbathing. The New Forest is less than an hour away.

For those seeking a more active holiday there are numerous waymarked walks and cycle ways to choose from, including the half hour Shaftesbury townwalk, finishing at Gold Hill where you can relax in the pub or café and enjoy the stunning views.

There are 8 properties ranging from 1 to 5 bedrooms and all have en-suite facilities as well as fully equipped kitchens. We welcome well behaved pets (small extra charge). We have a cottage catering for disabled guests, including wider doors and a ramp to the entrance. A holiday with us suits all age groups as there is a huge choice of things to do within the region and FREE MEMBERSHIP of the nearby sports centre with swimming, tennis, squash, gym and a pay and play golf course.

If you are moving house or having your house renovated then we can be a great way to live in a “home” for a few weeks or months while you find your next home or wait for work to be completed. We can accommodate people on short term work contracts and also welcome larger groups for weddings or just family gatherings.
